Train one from your 3D model with the open-source WebAR.rocks.train (runs in your browser on a desktop GPU), or use a pretrained net (cup, keyboard, cat…).
The model follows the head in full 6DoF — position, rotation, and scale by distance — with a built-in head occluder so it disappears naturally behind the head.
Each mat is unique. Print it (A4/Letter, ~18–20 cm wide works well) and place your object inside the dashed circle. The patterned ring is what the camera tracks — keep it flat and unobstructed.

This studio has no server, so the experience bundle needs a public home. One file, any static host — then anyone with the link gets the AR experience directly, no import needed.
Upload the artwork you'll print; tracking targets compile in your browser (~30 s). What tracks well: high contrast, lots of detail, no repeating patterns, matte print. What doesn't: glossy surfaces, logos on plain backgrounds, low-contrast photos.
For physical & 3D-printed objects. Print the generated mat ~18–20 cm wide on matte paper and place the object inside the dashed circle. The patterned ring gives full 360° walk-around anchoring — keep it flat, evenly lit, and unobstructed.
True markerless recognition. Train a network from your 3D model with WebAR.rocks.train (desktop GPU, minutes–hours) or use a pretrained net. Constraints: aspect ratio 1:2.5–2.5:1, avoid reflective materials, the physical object must look like the trained model.
Full 6DoF head pose with distance scaling and a built-in head occluder. Pick an attachment point (eyes, head, nose, chin, ears), then fine-tune in the viewer: drag ↔ rotates, drag ↕ raises/lowers, pinch scales — and Save placement.
Every experience exports as one .anchor.json bundle. Host it on any static host and paste its URL in the Share dialog to get a unique link + QR code. On this site's own host, dropping bundles next to the app works too (same-origin needs no CORS).
Works in iOS Safari and Android Chrome — no app needed, but the site must be served over HTTPS for camera access. Desktop webcams work for all demos. Install to your home screen for an app-like experience; everything keeps working offline after the first visit.
